Updating Enumeration Area 2024

As a data producer and statistician, BPS needs to prepare a complete and up to date master sample frame to be used in every survey. Since the 2020 Population Census, BPS has started to use SLS as an enumeration area (EA). The challenge of using SLS as an EA is that it is very dynamic. For efficiency, Updating EA SLS utilizes SLS data identified in the Podes Data Collection as a basis for following up on possible SLS changes in a village. Field results updating SLS in the form of SLS change information and maps updating the SLS, then processed at the Regency/City BPS to obtain masterSLS along with its payload, and an SLS map that is up to date and corresponds to the map.

EA SLS Updating activities cannot be separated from Master Updating activities (MFD and MBS) and Wilkerstat Map Updating activities.

Changes at the administrative area level can also influence changes at the Census Block and SLS levels as the smallest areas, which are the basis for carrying out statistical activities (sample frame).

This activity aims to, Capture SLS change information on an ongoing basis;  Updating the SLS load on the SLS that is experiencing changes; Produce up to date master and SLS maps as a reference in updating the sample frame;

This activity will be carried out from 1 - 31 July 2024 throughout the Serang Municipality area, after which it will be continued with the Map Processing activity resulting from the update.
