Abstract

As of September 2018, the level of inequality of Banten residents' expenditure measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.367. This figure is down 0.018 points compared to the March 2018 Gini Ratio which is 0.385.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2018 was recorded at 0.362 down compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2018 which amounted to 0.386. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas actually increased from 0.283 in March 2018 to 0.299 in September 2018.
As of September 2018, the distribution of expenditure for the lowest 40 percent of the population is 18.50 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the low level of inequality category. If detailed by region, in urban areas the figure is 18.22 percent and in rural areas it is 21.75 percent.
