Development of Consumer Price Index in Serang Municipality, May 2025

1. In May 2025 there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Serang Municipality of 1.52 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.85.

2. The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the increase in almost all expenditure group indices, namely: personal care and other services group by 13.21 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 2.32 percent; household supplies, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 1.54 percent; education group by 1.38 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.24 percent; health group by 1.15 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.78 percent; transportation group by 0.36; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.32 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.23 percent.

3. The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Serang Municipality in May 2025 amounted to 0.52 percent and 0.99 percent respectively.
